How to Get Rid of Mold

Try some natural products to remove mold instead of commercial ones, both of them are effective but natural ones are not harmful, plus they can be cheaper.

Hydrogen Peroxide

This is an antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral solution that’s found in most medicine cabinets.

Spray 3% hydrogen peroxide (spray bottle) on the moldy surface and leave for 10 minutes. You can scrub it after and just wipe it with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Store the bottle in a dark area after use.

Vinegar

Vinegar cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes. It kills 82% of mold species as well as viruses and bacteria. The strong odor goes away rather quickly but you can dilute it with water to cut the scent but it will make it less effective.

You can spray the vinegar onto the moldy surface and leave it for at least an hour after you scrub and wipe clean.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is amazing, it has a multitude of uses and it’s cheap!

You can use one-quarter of a tablespoon of baking soda and add it to a spray bottle filled with water and shake it until dissolved. Spray the moldy area then scrub hard to remove the mold. You can clean the surface with water to remove any residue. Just to be sure that the mold doesn’t return you can spray again and leave it to dry.
